About This Spot

Arriving at Konak Motel in the peaceful outskirts of Trebinje, you step into a world where tradition and nature fold into one seamless, calming embrace. The gentle hum of rural life paired with the inviting warmth of a country-style setting makes it easy to slow down and settle in. Here, the pace is unhurried, and every moment feels touched by the quiet joy of shared gatherings and simple pleasures.

This is not just a place to rest—it's a living, breathing corner of Bosnian hospitality. The holiday apartments offer a comfortable retreat with a sense of home, while the adjoining restaurant invites you into a timeless culinary ritual. The open kitchen reveals the careful attention to slowly grilled lamb, a signature treat that fills the air with a smoky, savory scent, hinting at meals savored over good conversation and laughter. For those who prefer lighter fare, there’s an unhurried delight found in fresh river fish and crisp, colorful salads, thoughtfully prepared with the seasons in mind.

Beyond the table, the experience extends to intimate celebrations in the wedding hall and quiet moments in the wine cellar. The wines here feel rooted in the land itself—they are stories in a glass, pairing perfectly with the rustic charm of the surroundings.

Konak Motel is a place where guests often discover more than just a stay or a meal; it becomes a pause in the journey to absorb the local rhythm, appreciate the craftsmanship of flavors, and connect with the simple beauty of Mosko’s landscape. It’s a retreat for those who seek genuine moments, grounded in place and tradition.

You must make a stop here if you are heading to Trebinje. Food here is some of the best I had in Bosnia and the portion size us just what you need after a long day of driving.

Vine, food, ambient and service is great. If you visit Trebinje make sure to visit Mosko and try lamb here.

The restaurant is nicely decorated in country style. You can see how the lamb is thrown on the spit. The service is up to par. The meat is tasty and juicy, the salads are delicious. For those who don't like lamb, they can choose river fish. The prices are excellent.
